Self-adhesive laser die cutting is a digital processing technology that uses a laser beam instead of traditional metal dies to perform high-precision cutting, kiss-cutting, perforating or engraving on self-adhesive materials. When cutting on the surface layer of the self-adhesive material, it relies on a powerful laser controller to precisely control the equipment to cut through only the surface material and adhesive layer without cutting through the release liner. A laser controller with such functions is not only required for self-adhesive die cutting, but also for label printing, electronic die cutting, protective film processing and other fields, which all require the laser controller to have such strong functions.
The advantages of self-adhesive laser die cutting are that it does not require molds, it is digitally controlled, design changes take effect immediately, saving mold-making costs and time; rapid response, suitable for small batches, multiple varieties, and customized orders; multi-functionality, capable of cutting, engraving, perforating, and positioning cutting; non-contact processing, no mechanical pressure, no deformation or sticky knife; environmentally friendly and efficient, reducing waste and minimizing mold replacement loss.
Because the structure of self-adhesive materials is complex, the requirements for the laser controller are much higher than those for ordinary laser cutting. Therefore, the laser control board directly determines the cutting accuracy, speed, stability, and material adaptability.
Self-adhesive laser die cutting requires the laser control board to have precise power and energy control. Since the self-adhesive material only needs to cut through the surface material and adhesive layer, the laser power must be controllable and extremely stable. The laser control board also needs to have trajectory optimization, with automatic speed compensation algorithms for rounded corners, small holes, and complex patterns to avoid overheating or line breakage. In addition, the laser control board must have high stability and safety protection to ensure production continuity and operator safety.
